Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the Pakistan-West Indies series and instructed the concerned authorities to provide foolproof security to both teams.
The commissioner also insisted on only closing the necessary routes to save people from hassle.
“Foolproof security should be provided, only necessary routes to close”, he said.
Commissioner Iqbal instructed Deputy Commissioner East Asif Jan Siddiqui to make the arrangements for cleanliness and to make the routes presentable. The commissioner has formed the committee presided by Deputy Commissioner Asif.
“Ensure cleanliness, installation of street lights, and provision of other facilities. The paths leading to the stadium should be beautified," Iqbal added.
The participants of the meeting also briefed the commissioner with regards to the arrangements that have already been done and showed their resolve to organise the series in the best possible manner.
West Indies will travel to Pakistan to play three T20Is and three ODIs, which are scheduled to be played at National Stadium Karachi from December 13 to December 22.
