England made a splendid comeback in the ongoing seven-match T20I series against Pakistan which stands at 3-3 with another cracker in the offing tomorrow at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Moeen Ali-led side outgunned Pakistan in all departments of the game and chased down 170 with minimum fuss as the swashbuckling openers clobbered Pakistan bowlers all over the park.

On the other hand, Babar Azam thought dew made life difficult for the bowlers in the second innings and added that England's powerplay proved to be a decisive factor in the game.

Credit should go to Salt and Hales for giving England momentum with a fast start: Babar Azam

In pursuit of 170 on a pitch where the ball was coming nicely onto the bat, Phil Salt and Alex Hales proved to be a perfect concoction for success and decimated Pakistan's bowling attack and raced to 55 in a mere 3.5 overs.

In the phlegmatic batting showSalt blasted the third-fastest T20I fifty and finished his innings on 88. The duo's onslaught didn't allow Pakistan to recover and after the blazing partnership, the match was only headed one way.

"The first six overs made the difference, the way they utilized them. The ball became wet because of dew and the spinners and fast bowlers found it tough to grip it. In the second innings, the ball also came on nicely to the bat when there was dew. The ball became (wet) and it became tough for bowlers. But credit should go to Salt and Hales for giving England momentum with a fast start,” Babar said in a video uploaded by PCB on Twitter.

Brushing off the defeat, Babar is sanguine about Pakistan's chances to win the final T20I tomorrow and affirmed that spirits haven't been dampened and added that the team won't lose confidence from the loss.

We can expect another showstopper tomorrow in the series which has produced several high-quality contests.

“As a team, such situations will come and you will have to face them. We played (well) previous matches and won and shouldn’t lose our confidence. At the end of the day, you have to talk and discuss mistakes so that you don’t repeat them in the next match,” Babar added.
