Cricket Ireland officials have told the Pakistan Cricket Board that Mohammad Amir's visa is still in process, it was stated in a report by Dawn.

The fast bowler had decided to take back his retirement alongside Imad Wasim as the duo were a part of the T20I squad that faced New Zealand in a five-match series.

The Pakistan squad had travelled to Dublin on Monday but Amir was left waiting in Lahore.

“We are in regular contact with the Cricket Ireland officials over the matter and they have told us that Amir’s visa is still in process,” it was stated in the report.

Pakistan are due to face Ireland in a three-match T20I series before heading off to England for four T20Is.
